Over the past few months
I have tried out a number of Registry Repair Apps.
Unfortunately, most of them left a lot to be desired.
The one that came with my XP Media Center PC was OK.
It did find many errors but only gave me the option
to 'ignore' the situation instead of to actually fix
it. Very strange indeed...
Then I was contacted by a gentleman from Uniblue,
the makers of Registry
Booster, to have me try their software. Usually when
a company contacts me I put it on the backburner, since
I get so many requests that theirs 'is the best'. However
a friend of mine said that he used this software and
was impressed by it. So I gave it a try. Here
is what I discovered....

Easy to understand interface. Everything is layed out
very simply and I was able to choose my task (either
Scan or Repair) without getting confused in the least
bit.

All I can say is "WOW". This was super fast on my 2Ghz,
1024MB of RAM machine. It took under a minute to
scan and repair all the error within my registry.
Now keep in mind that I am always installing and
uninstalling apps on this maching because it is my
test maching for running apps that are reviewed on
this site. By doing this my registry gets bloated
very quickly. It quickly found 177 errors and fixed
them all up. About 50% of the errors were due to
software that had been uninstalled and there were
references in my registry that were still pointing
to them. Glad to have those gone. In other apps I
usually get a few repair results where the apps says
that some of the errors could not be fixed, but not
with Registry Booster, they fixed them all. To me
that is great, just do your job so I can get back
to mine. :)
